BlackBerry App World reported 3 billion downloaded applications

After a series of bad news about RIM recently the company finally has a reason to celebrate something. These are the three billion applications downloaded from BlackBerry App World, since the work shop in 2009 this figure includes downloads of images, games and any other software that is distributed through the App World.

If you compare these 3 billion with 25, which Apple celebrated earlier this year, maybe to find someone to argue whether they are indeed cause for celebration for RIM. However, the company launched its portal later, and also in recent years the position of the BlackBerry market is constantly decreasing.
