At the moment at market  are several smartphones series Lumia of the Finnish mobile giant Nokia. These include models 900, 800 and 710. According to the information portal The Verge, these phones will stay out of software upgrade to future versions of the operating system Windows Phone. As a source of information indicating people close to Microsoft.

The next version of Windows Phone platform is codenamed Apollo and due out later this year. The only official position of Microsoft, which suggests what the fate of the devices on the line Lumia states that all programs that are in the App store today will be able to work in the next version of Windows Phone.

If rumors come true, it would be bad news for current users Lumia. Especially under the condition that most Android phones are released with a promise that will be upgraded to new versions of the operating system. Windows Phone needs to raise market share and a strong reluctance to upgrade old equipment with this OS is the last thing that will help achieve the goal.

Currently, Microsoft’s response on this issue is unclear and contradictory. One of the first spokesman confirmed that several devices Lumia series will receive an upgrade to Apollo, but by then the redman giant refused to reaffirm that statement.
