I tried this hoping it would fix my update issue…I have a factory non-rooted Nexus 7 that has 4.1.2 loaded but can’t update to 4.2 (during the update process the red triangle appears on the droid…but I don’t receive any error message). If anyone knows of a solution to this please message me at wiserblond@yahoo . com

I’m not going to mess anything up…you shoulnd’t have to go through all this just to update…I’ll just leave mine at 4.1 or wait till google send a better update to install on my tablet easily.

I tried updating via wi-fi. Once it restarts, it goes to the recovery image with the red exclamation mark. And it doesnt anything after that. If i try entering the menu (volume up + power), it just restarts the tablet instead.

Excellent videos, both this one and the one on how to set up SDK. I followed both to a “T” and everything worked great, except I got error messages during the verification:

    assert failed: apply_patch_check(“EMMC:/dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by-name/LNX:5013504:c48f8e86c73fb2c2ba1794f5ec98e27c9e206ed5:5060608:319331fae14fec8a88063751475fce26bae328e0″)

was one of the errors. I tried to upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.2 initially and got an error, tried 4.2.1 another error, please help!

Hi, I have a problem with my tablet, It allways show low battery logo (but I can use it for hours without problem), but when I try to update it, it says that the battery is to low, so I plugged it, but it says I must wait until the battery is charged sufficiently. But this never happen since the low low battery logo is allways there…!!! Do you think this is a software problem, I have 4.1.2 if I update to 4.2 with your method this problem should be gone? Thanx for any answer.
