To this day, whenever any of the SEO analysis SEO firm will send you along with other information and assess the meta tags of your site. But so what? If you have check it little more, what lies behind the magic name “meta tags” will understand that this is a piece of code that visitors do not even see when you surf through it.
Do I need however to have meta tags in pages on my site? Do I need to pay attention to them or not?

This question had two prior posts – yes, metatags are an important part of the site that helps search engines to find keywords and descriptions to index more pages from them. Over time, however things stand today in another way – metatags are not so important part of the code of the site, but we should not ignore them.
In the Help of Google is a description of metataga description (metatag “description”). For Google, metatags are now more cues than for fundamental indexing. On this occasion, if, before the meta descriptions have also been described in indexation in Google, now instead be used, and other content from the indexed page.

In other words, meta search engines focus, but search engines without them.

What are the myths about metatags:

You must have them;
You of all pages are the same;
Must be a number of symbols or words;
Where before <title> have greater effect.

My advice: do not worry if your site does not have meta tags for description and keywords, but ask your SEO consultant to provide the next update. Meta description and keywords are best to be dynamic, ie take any content, different for each page of the site – otherwise it may be better if you do not put them. Generally, it is important to have robots metatag, which give rights to view content by search engines.
